Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone in Elden Ring is an Upgrade Material strengthening your weapon to +10. Although Upgrade Materials can be purchased, looted from a Location, or dropped by a certain Boss, Elden Ring Somber Ancient Dragon Stones are special items that cannot be purchased or obtained indefinitely. Players are required to have the Ancient version to be able to reach the final level.

Located in a chest under the statue at the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint.
3 at Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree:
Open a chest hidden between columns, near the roof near a corpse carrying an item, behind the Prayer Room site of Grace in the Haligtree. (Go to the end of the first passage, and jump down into the gazebo where the red scarab is, run up to the support diagonally on the other side. The chest is in a small room).
On a corpse near the patrolling Putrid Avatar. (Get out of the Prayer Room site of grace and hop onto the second boot that connects to a tower. Go down the tower and use the ledges at the bottom to get to the detour near the patrolling Putrid Avatar.
Insert a golden needle into Malenia's scarlet flower after defeating her and completing the Millicent quest.
1 at Leyndell, Ashen Capital:
Head west from the main Leyndell, Capital of Ash Site of Grace, along the dragon then enter the building past it. After climbing the ladder, you will see on the right handrail a locomotive next to a corpse with the stone.
1 at Crumbling Farum Azula:
Found in a gazebo behind Farum Azula Dragon stationary at the rear of the square to the southeast of the Dragon Temple Rooftop site of grace.
