Ranni the Witch is an NPC in the Elden Ring. Ranni the Witch is initially known as Renna. She will reveal her real name when she meets again at the Three Sisters and will recruit you as her servitude. She will then take you on a search for a hidden treasure.
Ranni was originally the daughter of Radagon and Rennala. After Radagon became Marika's consort, Ranni and her siblings were made demigods. She is believed to be related to The Night of Black Knives, which marked the death of Godwyn the Golden. Ranni, on the other hand, is merely a living soul existing in an artificial doll body. With the help of the blacksmith Iji, the sorcerer Seluvis, the wolf warrior Blaidd, and the Tarnished, she is attempting to restore her Empyrean state.
Where to Find Ranni in Elden Ring
You can meet Ranni the Witch after you've talked to Melia and unlocked the Torrent at the Gatefront Site of Grace. You go back to the Church of Elleh and Ranni will appear there. She gives you the Spirit Calling Bell which allows you to summon the ashes.
You need to go to Ranni's Rise to find Ranni to start the quest. To get there, go to Carian Manor, which is located northwest of Lake Liurnia. Through a fake wall, you can get there from Kingsrealm Ruins. While the manor is further north, behind it lies a massive blacksmith named Iji.
You'll ultimately reach the top of the manor, where you'll have to combat the Royal Knights of Loretta. You must overcome her in order to get through a door that leads to the Three Sisters. The one you are seeking is Ranni's Rise. Go to the top by activating Site of Grace. You'll run into the witch once more, but this time she'll introduce herself by her real name.
How to Complete Ranni's Questline
Here's a detailed guide to help you through everything from meeting Ranni to defeating the final boss in the quest.
To start you need to go to the northwest of Liurnia, via Carnia Manor. There you need to defeat the boss and open a path that leads to a field full of sparkling rock crystals.
You will encounter 3 towers and a dragon patrolling. Pass the dragon and head west of the field to find Ranni's Rise. Go to the top to find Ranni. Here you need to accept Ranni's request and go downstairs to meet her three other servants including Iji, Blaidd and Seluvis.
Here Blaidd is the key NPC. The werewolf will ask to check out Nokron, the Eternal City, and you should meet him at the underground Well of Siofra. You can choose to follow or not. To begin the quest you will need to defeat the Starscourge Radahn.
Defeat him, a falling star will crash into the Lands Between. It happens to be in the right location that allows you to go to Nokron. you can start Ranni the Witch's quest from here.
Nokron, the Eternal City
You need to explore Nokron to find the Fingerslayer Blade for Ranni. You'll also pick up some useful loot along the way, like summoning Mimic Tear and a bunch of Graves and Ghost Gloveworts. These can be used to level up your summon ashes.
The next job is to travel to the Site of Grace at Fort Haight West. When going up Torrent and going up the path, there will be a cluster of rocks floating in the sky. That's where the Lands Between is attacked by the falling star. Entering it you will find a path leading into Nokron, the Eternal City. You will go through ruins and across a tower that has collapsed. It will be like a bridge leading into another giant building. You will find the Site of Grace there.
The exact location is where the floating rocks are.
Defeat the bad guys on your way to the town square and collect all the good stuff. Then, go down the plane stairs at the north end of the area. Follow the path and hit a yellow magic wall. Here, you need to defeat the Mimic Tear, a clone of your character. Thanks to that you will receive the summons of Mimic Tear to increase the power by a few levels.
Beyond the Site of Grace is a bridge that you will cross. At this point, you can ride Torrent. Continue following the path and emit a blue aura. Take the Torrent to the road to the left of that hill, then follow around the left corner, and you'll find the Site of Grace. Jump on the rooftops to the right to start down the Night's Sacred Ground. You can use the temporary bridge found to enter the sanctuary and defeat the bad guys inside.
River Ainsel, Nokstella and Lake of Rot
Ranni will give you the Carian Inverted Statue when you give her the Fingerslayer Blade.
You need to bring the statue to the Carian Study Hall. Pass the little-hand monsters to go to the room. You will find that the office has been completely turned upside down. You will have to step down from the top of the hall, up the chandelier, wooden beams and finally up to the platform that takes you to the Liurnia Tower Bridge. There will be a Godskin Noble standing in your way. When you enter the Divine Tower of Liurnia, you will receive the Cursemark of Death as a reward.
After giving Ranni the Fingerslayer Blade, you'll head to the top of Renna's Rise's tower to find a carrier that will take you to the Ainsel River Main.
While you're here, pick up the item in front of you by the coffin. It will be a miniature Ranni Doll. Rest at the nearby Site of Grace and talk to the doll. You may encounter silence at first, but persevere and the doll will talk to you on the third attempt.
This opens up the next part of the quest, where you must scour the underground caverns to find another lost city, Nokstella and Baleful Shadow, enforcers of Two Finger's hegemony.
After talking to the Miniature Ranni Doll, continue through Ainsel River Main and Uhl Palace Ruins and follow the fork on the right to Nokstella.
Continue past the large centipede enemy of the Uhl Palace Ruins and go through the large gate, and then through an ant cave to finally reach Nokstella.
Jump down the steps or pedestal and get Nokstella, the Eternal City Site of Grace ahead of you.
Stay above ground and walk along the river, skipping the first set of stairs. Go to the second episode instead.
Be wary of the enemies here and move forward, jumping off the right side of the bridge before entering the building at the end.
Now keep running along the river and pass the electric black spot and ant enemies that will shoot arrows at you. You'll come to a large entrance with an elevator, which will take you to the Nokstella Falls Basin.
Run first through the cave, but be very careful not to get caught in the black mist spewed by the basil's enemies.
In the next clearing, you fight the boss Baleful Shadow. He's fairly easy to use at the range or with magic but needs a little more maneuverability at the melee range. When cut down, he will drop the Discarded Palace Key.
This key is used to unlock chests in Raya Lucaria Grand Library after defeating Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. Inside the chest is the Dark Moon Ring.
Continue south, enter the building and take the elevator to Lake of Rot. Use the buttons to cross the lake and then go along the river. Finally, there's a coffin, and lying in it will take the player to battle with Astel's boss, the Naturalborn of the Void. A Dark Moon Ring is required to enter this area.
Defeating Ansel will grant the Remembrance of the Naturalborn, which can be sold or exchanged for Enia for Ash of War: Waves of Darkness or Bastard's Stars. Take the Deep Well of Ansel to the Moonlight Altar.
After defeating the Glintstone Dragon Adula, go to Manus Celes Church and descend into the cave south of the Site of Grace. Follow the tunnel that leads the player to Ranni's corpse and two fingers. The player is prompted to put on the ring and can then obtain the Dark Moon Greatsword.
After wearing the ring, when we go out to beat the boss at the end of the game Elden Beast, we will have an ending with Ranni.
