A document unlike any other, that sets readers on an exhaustive behind-the-scenes journey to witness the creation of an epic of tremendous scale. In this graphic novel, Kratos inadvertently sparks a feud with a mysterious cult of berserkers after attempting to save a stranger being mauled by a monstrous bear. But for the former Ghost of Sparta, no good deed goes unpunished. A hardcover tome that authentically recreates Atreus’ journal as seen in God of War, with expanded lore written in collaboration with the God of War writing team! Kratos attempts to distance himself from his shame, only to find his guilt follows close behind. He rages against the one foe that has proven to be unconquerable—himself. Super cool book

A Helpful Resource for God of War (Norse setting) fans.
If you’re a fan of books written in an in-universe perspective (such as by one of the characters) then you can’t go wrong with this book for the God of War games (specifically for the Norse ones). The book is written from the perspective of Atreus, Kratos’s son. The book is a great way to see how many of the Norse myths have been reworked to fit the God of War versions as well as to learn details that one may have missed. Plus it has a lot of Mimir’s stories and perspectives included.

    Wow! This book is incredible!
This book is incredible and the quality of it will have you in awe. Every fan of GOD OF WAR should have this. I love how the book talks about atreus mother (Kratos Wife) more. I mean in the game you start off and she’s already dead and yes you find out that she was reallly a giant at the end but you don’t really know how much she really meant to atreus. Even before him and kratos started bonding. He knew his father loved her just by how he looked at her. He even thought his father was disappointed in him or even worse he thought he didn’t like him at all. I won’t spoil it but like I said every fan of the game should have this. 5 stars!

  6. Christian Graham

    Way more than expected!!
Loved all the extra info and perspectives and thoughts from Atreus that weren’t shown in the game. Entire memories and conversations that we’ve never seen.

  7. Christopher Ziejel

I finally copped this ! Dude the cover feels great ! The book is Huge too!!! I probably should’ve read the info but i thought it would be tiny size like atreus’ journal. Every page feels so thick and the details omg ! I wont spoil too much but they did a great job… the story is of course.. also top notch obviously !

  8. Humble

    Phenomenal storytelling
As a God of War fan and MAJOR Kratos fan, this book had to come into my collection. The amount of lore and legendry stored within Atreus’ journal is unrivaled, unmatched, and uncriticized. This could even be used as a guide towards villains in the game. Worth the price and very much worth the read. Took me only 4 hours to finish.

  9. Tabatha

This book is a really great read if you have finished God Of War (2018). The book is written as if it is from the eyes of Atreus. He talks about his adventures with his father Kratos and the emotions he went through. The illustrations are also beautiful. Any fan of God Of War, should pick up this book.

  10. Arno Breker

  12. jack starks

A really well presented book, with very nice quality feel to the paper. Goes into the lore in more detail than the game. A very large coffee table book with lovely artwork.

  13. Mohammed Kaif

Must buy for all god of war fans as it includes the story of the main characters a year after the game (GOW 2018) by Atreus himself and is filled with lore
