In Elden Ring, the term "stats" refers to a variety of qualities that influence the strengths and weaknesses of your character, as well as how they are affected by interactions both during and outside of combat. There are eight primary Stats in Elden Ring, in addition to several dozen minor Stats. These stats all contribute in some way to your character's development and their efficacy in a variety of settings. Your Level, Equipment, and any active buffs or effects can all modify your Stats, which are affected by a variety of factors and can be changed by you.

You can check your level, attributes, base stats, and other information about yourself within the Status Menu. The data presented here takes into account the modifications to your attack, defense, and resistances that have been conferred upon you by the weaponry and armor that you are now wearing.

  • Check out the Leveling page for information on how to level up, a breakdown of how many runes are required for each level, and more.
  • See Runes for details on gaining runes and rune acquisition boosting items.

How to increase stats in the Elden Ring?

Leveling up is the most important strategy for improving your character's statistics. You will be able to Level Up by using Runes that you have accumulated through the course of the game by fighting opponents. This ability will become available to you not long after your first encounter with Melina.

The Elden Ring comes with 8 Primary Statistics (also referred to as Attributes). Your Vigor, Mind, Endurance, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane are all included here. Your secondary statistics, including your health, vitality, stamina, and equipment load, are controlled by each of these primary statistics in turn. Runes can be spent at a Site of Grace to improve a player's secondary stats as well as the major stats they use to determine their character's level. This effectively raises the level of the player's character.

Your currently equipped items, as well as any active boosts received from magic or items, might also have an effect on your statistics. In Elden Ring, character advancement and the creation of efficient builds depend on players combining these different features.

Can you respec your Elden Ring Stats?

After you have graduated from Raya Lucaria Academy, you will have the ability to reset point allocations and rearrange all of your earned Stat points in any way you like in return for a Larval Tear, a unique item that may be acquired through a variety of different methods. You will probably be past level 50 by the time you get to this, thus your early build is quite crucial because you cannot change it; for more suggestions on how to develop a solid character, read our page on Elden Ring Builds.

This feature, also referred to as "Respeccing", is a component of the game that allows players to experiment with different character builds and customize their appearances without having to completely restart the game.

Main character attributes of Elden Ring Stats

The Main Stats, commonly known as Attributes, of your character are all listed in this section. Once the functionality is available, you can spend obtained Runes on these Stats via the Level Up menu at any Site of Grace to raise them. These Stats control all other secondary Stats.

When you level a Main Stat at a higher level, you eventually experience diminishing returns, which means that the benefit you receive from doing so is less significant than it once was. Soft-caps or breakpoints are the levels at which these diminishing returns start to happen. The soft-cap for each attribute is shown in the list below. It should be noted that some stats do, in fact, offer faster returns at lower levels. For instance, Vigor's HP gain per level improves from levels 1 to 40, but it starts to decline after that.

All Stats have a hard cap of 99; you cannot level a Stat past that point and you cannot increase your Stat's hard cap with equipment or buffs. (An exception is that by two-handing, your effective Strength can go above 99.)
